Beginnings:

Baltimore Bariatrics started out as the "Rossville Weight Loss Center," offering a proven medical weight loss program consisting of prescription medication, dietary modification and a rational exercise program. The Medical weight loss program offered consistent and sustained results to help patients achieve and maintain an ideal weight. Our offices were located in Rossville, MD at the time, and thus the name. 

Customized Weight Loss Program:

Under the direction and supervision of a board-certified surgeon, working with a dedicated team of professionals, a personalized program is designed for the individual which addresses all of the medical aspects of the chronic disease of obesity.

It was in this setting, offering a proven program to patients struggling with the disease of morbid obesity, that it became clear there were dramatic and distinct differences in the problems of the overweight and the disease of morbid obesity.

Baltimore Bariatrics: Conception:

It was the failure of a physician-supervised weight loss program once a person had been afflicted with morbid obesity that led to the search for other treatments. This led, ultimately, to the addition of surgery to our program and the creation of Baltimore Bariatrics & Body Contouring Center.

Results:

Medical weight loss remains a valuable tool to combat the epidemic of obesity sweeping the country. Baltimore Bariatrics & Body Contouring Center offers medical weight loss as part of our comprehensive health and wellness program.

General Services:

We now also offer a medical weight loss program for those pre-operative patients that need to fulfill an insurance company requirement for a six-month supervised weight loss program before they get their surgery approved. We will work with your surgeon's office to make this onerous requirement pass as quickly and as smoothly as possible.

Post-operative pain management (via prescription drug medications) is another service offered at our facility.
